How to Make an Appointment

Online Consultations:

We are asking all patients that wish to make an appointment with their GP to complete an online consultation in the first instance. This will then be triaged by a clinician within 24 hours and the most appropriate solution for your request will be offered.

NHS England and NHS Improvement are supporting all GP Practices in Engalnd with the implementation of a ‘total triage’ model using telephone and online consultation tools.  Total triage is important to reduce avoidable footfall in practices and protect patients.

Total triage means that every patient contacting the practice is first triaged before making an appointment.  This allows patients to submit their symptoms or requests to their GP electronically, and offers around the clock NHS self-help information, signposting to services, and a symptom checker.


Due to COVID-19, and the fact that we have now moved over to a ‘total triage’ model, we are no longer allowing patients to book appointments online. However, we are looking into the possibility of patients being able to book routine reviews (ie Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, CHD) and smears online.

Patients can still book an appointment with the nurse, clinical pharmacist, or arrange a postnatal check etc, or obtain help to complete an eConsult by calling reception on 01689 832454.

In Person

To reduce avoidable footfall in the practice we are asking that patients DO NOT visit the practice unless they have been asked to do so. If you have been asked to come down to the surgery please press the button on the intercom to the right of the front door and the receptionist will assist you.
